Music Influence
Heavy metal bands like Metallica, Megadeth influenced Satpal to form a heavy metal band called Metal Messiah in 2004. The band performed primarily in Mumbai and ocassionally in different parts of the country.
After playing metal covers and original compilation Satpal realised that he could not fully expresess himself and looked beyond the predefined music styles. Knowing what is does best, he looked beyond the idea of set rules and was immediately impressed with the band Static X.
Soon he diverged from the heavy metal scene and formed a band "FSYD FX" pronounced side-effects. The music was influenced from Industrial metal, disco beat, heavy distortion, electronic keyboards, pounding bass riffs, and fast-paced, aggressive vocals. Songs generally apply heavy use of synthesizers and insertion of samples.
Current Life
After forming and performing in two bands, Satpal decided to go beyond his style and wanted to learn and understand music from a different prespectice. In 2008 he came to the US and was interviewed and auditioned by Berklee School of Music. The school instantly like his style and passion for music.
Currently he is planning to join the school in 2009 and is in the process of fund raising for his education.
